…New rock for the new born


'New rock for the new born" simply means a new style of rock and roll played for Christians and non-Christians alike in hopes that the unsaved will come to know the Lord. The term 'Irony9" was first used to describe three stage frightened individuals on their very first concert in front of a camp of 500+ kids of all ages. Irony9 started out as a youth group praise and worship band at Bloomingdale Alliance Church . Through many role changes and member changes, the group was set as a four piece, Blake Pierson-Drums, Ben Murray-Bass, Justin Murray-Guitar, and Justin Stafford-lead singer. Justin Stafford sang with us for a little while but due to lack of dedication on his part, he left the group, and thrust Justin Murray into the lead singer position. Through many style changes and many, many practice sessions, Irony9 has, as many put it, become 'a band with a sound unlike anyone else", a new breed of Christian rock with one goal in mind, to preach The Gospel with a musical message of truth. To show kids, it's okay to be different, Jesus was different, God loves you, and God rocks. And simply put: 'New rock for the new born…"
